We meet on Sunday mornings at 10:00 a.m.. We respect one another and we respect the holiness of our place of worship.
Holy Communion is served at every service, and we celebrate an open communion table, which simply means that you do not have to be a member of St. Jude's MCC or any other church to receive the gifts of God. We bless and share the Communion meal, but it is God who blesses and makes us holy. Christ gave but one requirement for His supper: "Do this in remembrance of me."
What to Expect
Our motto is Come Just as You Are, meaning:
We extend a special welcome to those who are gay, lesbian, trans, gender-queer, single, married, divorced, filthy rich, or dirt poor.
We welcome you if you can sing like Andrea Bocelli or like our pastor who can’t carry a note in a bucket. You’re welcome here if you’re “just browsing,” just woke up or just got out of jail.
We don’t care if you’re more Catholic than the Pope, more Protestant then Martin Luther, or don't know even know what that means because you haven't been in church since grandma's funeral which was God knows when.
We welcome those who are in recovery or still addicted. We welcome you if you’re having problems or you’re down in the dumps or if you don’t like “organized religion" - we’ve been there, too.
We welcome those who are inked, pierced or both. We offer a special welcome to those who could use a prayer right now, had religion shoved down your throat as a kid or got lost in traffic and wound up here by mistake.
We welcome tourists, seekers and doubters, old-time religious… but most of all, we welcome you!
During normal times...
We meet each Sunday at 10am at our Market Street location, on the corner of Market & 26th Streets.
