St. Jude's MCC offers Brunch following worship service every Sunday in Harrington Hall. This time is truly central to fellowship at St. Jude's. It provides
an opportunity for us to personally welcome guests, potential new members, and share time with old friends who are part of our church family. It is the
only time during the week that many in our congregration have the opportunity to share a meal with one another. St. Jude's is UNIQUE in its all-inclusive
spirituality and commitment to fellowship. While we welcome and celebrate diversity in our community, at Sunday Bunch, we all come together to
celebrate a love for one another and Jesus Christ.
Sunday Brunch is brought to you weekly through volunteers who purchase the food, usually prepare it at home and share their dish as a continuation of
the communion initialized in the sanctuary. We need the ongoing support of the spirited folks who are committed to making this happen every week. It
can be a lot of work, in fact, much more than one or two people could do alone. Fortunately, so many member and non-members pull together, making
it miraculously happen each and every week, and we truly have a great time doing it.
Everyone participates in some way or another even if its just by being there. There are about 20 dedicated members and regular attendees in a core
group who weekly give their time, talents and service to this vital ministry! So many people step up and do the things that need to be done. The reward
is seeing the smiles and love shared in the fellowship hall, the kitchen and on the patio.
If one is not able to bring food (either prepared/cooked at home or bought from a restaurant/grocery store), the Brunch Bunch needs people weekly to
help with setup and cleanup after brunch. This is a wonderul way to get to know other people. We get silly, laugh, and share in the delight of a
successful brunch every Sunday while sweeping, cleaning, taking out the trash, etc. You will realize how rewarding it can be regardless of how you
choose to participate. Simply enjoy the fellowship and recognize how grateful we are for the abundance of spirit, vittles, and great company. It is love
